2020 Holy Week Schedule

(If ban on groups is lifted.)
Palm Sunday Jubilee Services – April  5th
8:00, 9:45, & 11:30 AM
Hosanna! At our worship services, we will honor and celebrate Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem. To fulfill the prophecies of old, Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the donkey, as the people cheered, “Hosanna in the highest!” They waved palm branches and honored Him. Only He knew what the rest of the week would bring . . .
Jelly Bean Jamboree – April 11th: 2 to 4 PM –
Easter Egg Hunt

Children, ages 0 – thru 4th Grade, will enjoy a fun day celebrating the resurrection of Jesus! Kids will enjoy a FREE afternoon of games, food, fun, bounce house, prizes, and 1,000s of eggs for our Easter Egg Hunt (with separate age-specific areas in which your little ones can hunt), and, of course, lots of candy! Invite your friends, and bring an empty Easter basket. We’ll have fun celebrating the real reason of the season!

Pancake Breakfast – Palm Sunday – April  5th
9 to 9:45 AM,  and
10:45 to 11:30 AM
Come support our Youth Group while enjoying a delicious breakfast with your family. Donations will support mission trips.
Easter “Sonrise” Service – Sunday, April 12th
7 AM by the Lake at Church
Join us for a beautiful lakeside service. The fog on the lake dissipates, and nature is the first to celebrate the resurrection of our risen Lord. Head to the southernmost point on the Church property to the lake behind the cottage.
The Last Supper – Seder Meal “Maundy” Thursday
April 9th – 6:30 PM
On this special night, come to worship and experience an authentic Seder Meal, as Jesus and His disciples lead us. Save the date for this family-wide event. It’s free, but you must RSVP by Tuesday noon, April 7th, by calling the church at 813-949-1751, or email vicki@fantasticfirst.org
Easter Celebration Services – Sunday, April 12th
8:00, 9:45, & 11:30 AM
Good Friday Processionals & Re-Enactment
April 10th – Noon & 7:00 PM
There will be two opportunities to experience the re-enactment of Christ’s crucifixion.
At noon, the processional will begin on the steps of City Hall in downtown Tampa and then proceed to Lykes Park.
(Please join us for a “Dutch Treat” lunch afterwards at the Columbia Restaurant in Ybor City, approximately at 1 PM.)
At 7:00 PM, the re-enactment will take place in our sanctuary, with worship through Word and song
Living Cross – Easter Sunday, April 12th
All Services
Bring fresh cut flowers to adorn our cross, signifying that new life comes only in and through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
The Tomb – April 10th thru 12th
Around the Clock – Guarding of the Tomb
Jesus’ body will be laid to rest in a tomb on our church grounds and guarded by Roman soldiers. This is a striking reminder throughout the weekend of Jesus’ death and the despair that gripped the early disciples prior to the good news that He rose from the dead.
